Senior embedded software engineer
You work on the development of a product based on a new in house
hardware platform (ARM7, PIC, GPS, GPRS, sensors, CAN, One Wire, ULP).
Your tasks could be varied (device drivers, multi threaded application level software,... ) and you are responsible for:
- Performing feasibilities / providing estimates on expected workload
- Designing and coding software components based on requirements
- Testing, maintaining and fixing issues in the software
- Participating in reviews (design, code, test)
- Assuring SW Quality and timeline according agreed guidelines
- Assuring some end to end testing
Profile:
- Education: Master degree in engineering (electronics, ICT, telecommunications, computer science) or informatics
Location:
- Brussels (Evere), Belgium
Skills:
The candidate must have strong skills in the following areas:
- development of production embedded software on ARM processors
- in depth knowledge of C
- experience with debugging/testing on an embedded device.
- familiar with usage of GNU toolchains
- intermediate knowledge of English
The following skills are considered as strong plusses:
- experience with eCos
- experience with battery powered Ultra Low Power systems
- experience with AGILE methodology (test driven development/unit testing, code reviews, scrum)
- digital and/or analogic electronic design
- knowledge of Dutch and/or French
Other important elements next to pure technical experience are a
willingness to learn, creativity, be open and flexible, fit in the group
(start-up spirit).
