Electromechanical Technician - Embedded Systems & Telematics

We are offering you a 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension.
your role
>
Your role is to ensure the installation, testing and maintenance of on-board telematics equipment (GPS/Track & Trace units, temperature sensors, fuel probes, CAN-bus systems) on fleets of road vehicles (trucks, trailers, vans, tractors).
Preparation & Support (In-person / Remote)
Configuration: Prepare, flash the firmwares and configure the boxes before installation.
Technical support: Analyze hardware failures remotely to guide customers or prepare your interventions.
Installation & Maintenance (On customer site)
Integration & Cabling: Installing equipment on board trucks, trailers, cars and tractors.
Commissioning: Perform connectivity tests and validate the correct transmission of data to the servers.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Locating faults (mechanical, electrical or electronic) on defective installations and intervening on high-tech equipment.
Reporting: Write intervention reports via PC or mobile applications.

you will be based

Here is your work environment (Brussels/Flanders region):
60% of the time: Fixed position on the site of a major client located in the Brussels periphery.
40% of the time: Exciting traveling missions in Northwest and East Flanders.
Education : Diploma in automotive mechanics or electromechanics or by experience.
Experience : We welcome both those with no prior experience and those with experience in a similar field (telematics, automotive electronics, garage electrical systems). A willingness to work and a collaborative spirit are essential.
Language skills : Proficiency in Dutch /
Technical skills: knowledge of computer science and automotive electronics (12V/24V networks, CAN bus, FMS).
Logistics : Holder of a category B driving licence.
