How to register my company in DIWASS?

Registration is a prerequisite for any organisation involved in cross-border waste shipments, allowing operators to create, manage and track waste shipment procedures within the system. By completing your registration early, you can avoid unnecessary administrative pressure closer to the implementation date.

Step-by-Step Registration Guide

1. Sign in to DIWASS

Access the European platform and log in using your EU Login account.

If you do not yet have an EU Login account, you can create one free of charge through the European Commission's authentication service.

 

 

2. Select the “Operator” Role

Once logged in, choose the Operator role to register and manage your organisation within DIWASS.

 

3. Check Whether Your Company Is Already Registered

Before creating a new operator profile, search for your company using its name or identification details.If your organisation already appears in the list, no further registration is required.

4. Create a New Operator Profile

If your company cannot be found, select “Create a New Operator” to start the registration process.

5. Enter Your Company Details

Provide the required information, including:

  • Company name

  • Registered address

  • Company identification number

  • Contact details


These details will be used to create your operator profile in DIWASS.

6. Select the Relevant Activity

Under“Chapter or Activity”, choose:

✅ Waste Shipment Regulation (WSR)

This links your organisation to the procedures governed by the EU Waste Shipment Regulation.

7. Submit Your Registration

Review the information entered and submit your registration request for validation.

8. Monitor Your Registration Status

After submission, your company profile will initially display the status:

New – Registration submitted and awaiting approval
Valid – Registration approved and ready for operational use

Once your status changes to Valid, your organisation can fully participate in DIWASS waste shipment procedures.

Will DIWASS be mandatory?

Yes. DIWASS is the platform provided for by Regulation (EU) 2025/1290.

 

When does the regulation come into effect?

The text enters into force on May 21, 2026.

The bonds begin in 2027 with full generalization by 2029.
